The history of this hotel and its intrigue and role in the DDR, plus its comfort and location makes this a great choice. 😀 - Loved its history (very spy novel). Views are amazing. Breakfast is fantastic. Pool and Sauna just what was needed to de-stress. Space and room comfort in the suite was good too. 😞 - Suite sharing one bathroom off master room and the bathroom itself needs updating perhaps to walk-in shower. Also scum build-up under bath was very visible and needs a good clean-out.

Great location, excellent service Old fashioned charm and service. The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgable. Our room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the Elbe and the old town of Dresden. A short walk across the bridge and we were in the centre of things. Breakfast was a highlight, lots of choice and sitting on the patio was a pleasure. We would definitely stay again.

Easy city access This hotel is right on the river Elbe and easy walking distance to the city center of Dresden. The breakfast buffet was nice and provided a basic spread. Irons are not provided in room but reception quickly provided one when requested. The rooms are not air conditioned and the afternoon sun is direct if you are facing the river. We left a note asking staff to not open the curtains to ensure the room stayed as cool as possible.

Dresden hidden gem Nice hotel in a very good location for walking to the old town and getting on the Hop On/Off bus. Walking through the Old Town you enter a lovely shopping area with a big wheel and some nice restaurants. The hotel room was quite large but I hadnt realized most standard rooms are on a low floor and usually on the main road. However, the Manager did change my room and it was lovely. Overall the Reception staff and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. They went out of the way to assist me with my many requests for information on the area. I can definitely recommend this hotel for cleanliness, amenities, location and friendliness of the staff. I had a lovely stay and would definitely return.

Hotel is separated by a bridge from the old town, reached by a pleasant scenic walk with a nice view. Nice breakfast selections and a nice gym with an indoor swimming pool. Great place to launch a tour of a city that was flattened by the last world war.

Great luxurious hotel with nice room and bath. The location is perfect, next to the bridge that brings to the old city center with the beautiful historical buildings. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of choice and good quality food! Great experience!

fantastic hotel, there is even a swimming pool and sauna that are open until late in the evening.
